Just another day here in Denver. I am getting through the last couple shifts I have this week, tonight being a shift I’m covering for someone and tomorrow one I picked up as extra opportunity for some overtime monies.
I’m pretty committed to the idea of getting out and doing some camping next week since my schedule will be back to normal. I’ll be getting some sunshine, taking more photos, and doing some fishing.
Also my buddy from work has suggested we go riding together on Friday as long as his motorcycle is in working order. I’m looking forward to it. It’ll give me the opportunity to see somewhere new and challenge me a little bit as I haven’t rode with anyone before.
I’ve started getting my diet and fitness back on track. I kind of let it slide these last couple weeks because of my own poor planning and laziness. But I need to recognize that I feel a lot better and save a lot of money buying healthy groceries and cooking at home.
The weight lifting is starting to happen again slowly too. It always just takes a few days of consistency for the motivation to come back. Once the initial struggle of the weights feeling heavy again starts to wear off.
I began posting a lot of my photography backlog on my Instagram. For months by account has been sitting empty. I took a step back from all of that when I was going through all the stuff with my breakup. It was kind of a way to silence a lot of the social noise and shrink myself down so I didn’t feel as seen going through something that I felt made me so vulnerable.
But I feel like I have a lot to share in that space. And now feeling a little bit more settled, I don’t feel as shy letting people see who I am as a person. I’ve really tried to chase a lot of my passions over the last few years. Learning to fly, getting a motorcycle, my truck, photography, learning how to fix a whole number of things. And I like sharing that with other people.
It sounds kind of crazy but I think my next venture is a sail boat. I had been thinking of getting a motorboat for the last couple weeks, but a sail boat would be another skill I could learn and just add to the random lore I’ve been developing about myself. The next thing is getting my dive certificate and then I’ve got a whole new hobby to work on.
I wouldn’t mind buying a project. I really enjoy fixing things and learning how things work in the process. The only question would be where to store it. I don’t really have the space unless someone I know would let me keep it somewhere.
But anyways, that’s months ahead of where I’m at now. The next step here is to get a new job secured so I can get that big switch up out of the way. It being almost mid June I need to reach out and get that ball rolling again.
Today I’m going to get a haircut and then relax more before my night shift tonight. I’ll ride the to work like always unless it decides to rain again in the evening.
Thanks for reading.
